Civil Registry

The Philippine Consulate General in Seattle provides civil registry services for Filipino citizens residing within its jurisdiction. Civil registry services include the registration of births, marriages, and deaths occurring abroad, as well as other services relating to Philippine civil records.

Who May Apply?

Applicants residing within the jurisdiction of the Philippine Consulate General in Seattle may avail themselves of civil registry services.

Important Notice

Applications submitted with incomplete requirements may be returned unprocessed. Applicants are advised to review all requirements carefully before mailing or submitting documents to the Consulate.

Supporting documents like a permanent resident card may be presented only to help establish that a Filipino national has not yet lost Philippine citizenship at the time of the vital event. Other supporting documents may be presented. Consulate officials can assist eligible individuals who have lost Philippine citizenship, but wish to reacquire/retain their Philippine citizenship.

A child born abroad to at least one Filipino parent must be reported to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) through the Philippine Consulate having jurisdiction over the place of birth.
